Forgotten Coast
Drone, Photo & Video

The Forgotten Coast doesn't advertise, and that's the point. St.

George Island, Apalachicola, Carrabelle — oyster boats, houses on stilts, and some of the last quiet beachfront left in Florida. We're JandyLucho Marketing and Media, run by one FAA-certified drone pilot based about 90 minutes north in Grand Ridge, and we film this coast: drone photo and video, FPV fly-throughs, vacation rental media, and real estate listings from Alligator Point to Cape St. George. Most owners out here live three states away and run their rentals from a phone — which suits us fine. Book remotely, we coordinate access, and your listing gets media built to earn bookings. Travel is already in the quote.

Why the Forgotten Coast Is Different

Drive east past Mexico Beach and the Panhandle changes. The high-rises stop, the T-shirt shops thin out, and by the time you cross the bridge onto St. George Island you're looking at a coast that still works for a living — oyster boats out of Apalachicola and Eastpoint, shrimpers at Carrabelle, and mile after mile of rental houses up on stilts. Franklin County never built a Destin, and the people who rent here like it that way. The quiet is the product. It's what fills the booking calendar.

Here's the catch: the media industry never followed the coastline out this far. Photographers and video crews cluster around 30A and Panama City Beach, and most won't make the drive east — which leaves a coast whose entire economy runs on vacation rentals and waterfront listings without much coverage. We're 90 minutes north in Grand Ridge and we already film out here — there's fresh St. George Island aerial footage on our YouTube channel from this month. We'd fly this island for fun. Getting hired to do it is a bonus.

Here's what that looks like — golden hour over St. George Island, shot by us:

Vacation Rental Photography & Video on St. George Island

Most St. George Island rental owners don't live anywhere near St. George Island. You're in Atlanta or Birmingham, the house is on the Gulf, and everything — cleaners, repairs, the pool guy — gets handled by phone and email. Photography should work the same way. Book us remotely, point us at your property manager or hand us the keypad code, and we handle the rest: interiors, exteriors, aerials that show exactly how far the house sits from the beach, and video for the listing platforms that increasingly reward it.

Listing media on the island goes stale quietly — new furniture, a repainted deck, a hot tub the photos don't show yet. A seasonal refresh before the spring booking window is one of the simplest upgrades a listing can get. We shoot, edit, and deliver with fast turnaround, and you review everything from your couch three states away. See how we handle vacation rental photography and video, then tell us about the house.

FPV Fly-Throughs: The One-Take Tour

Photos show a rental in pieces — bedroom, bedroom, kitchen, deck. An FPV fly-through shows it whole: one continuous take that starts over the dunes, climbs the stairs, moves through the living room, and ends on the Gulf view from the top deck. For stilt houses that matters more than usual, because the layouts genuinely confuse people — reversed floor plans, living areas on the third floor, bunk rooms tucked under the stairs. A fly-through answers the question every guest is quietly asking: what does this house actually feel like to walk through?

It's also honest marketing. A wide lens can make a bunk room look like a ballroom; a continuous camera move can't lie about scale or flow, and guests who knew what they were booking leave better reviews. We fly small, guarded drones built for interior work. Take a look at our FPV fly-through tours and picture your rental as the one-take version.

Real Estate & Waterfront Listings

Franklin County listings cover a strange, wonderful range: a Victorian in Apalachicola's historic district, a fish camp on the Carrabelle River, a Gulf-front house on St. George Island's East End with nothing but state park next door. What they share is that the location does the selling — and location is exactly what ground-level photos can't show. One good aerial makes the case in a single frame: here's the house, here's the water, and here's how little sits between them.

For agents, the practical side matters as much as the pretty side. Every flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified pilot, fully insured, and comfortable running listing shoots without hand-holding — you send the address and the lockbox code, we send back the gallery. Photos, video walkthroughs, aerials, and twilight looks when the listing warrants them. The full rundown is on our real estate photography and videography page.

Apalachicola & Carrabelle Small Businesses

Apalachicola might be the most photogenic working town in Florida, and plenty of its businesses are still marketing with phone snapshots. Oyster bars, seafood houses, charter captains, kayak outfitters, the inns and guest cottages on the historic blocks — these are businesses that tourists choose from a screen two hundred miles away, and the ones with real photos and video win that choice more often. Same story in Carrabelle, where the working waterfront practically shoots itself.

We handle small business media the way a small business needs it handled: one shooter, one visit, a pile of usable assets — website photos, short vertical video for social, aerials of the storefront and the water it sits on. No agency, no retainer, no committee. If you run a place on this coast that deserves better pictures than it currently has, start with our small business media page, then just call us.

Built for Absentee Owners & Property Managers

The workflow, since most owners on this coast will likely never meet us in person: you call or email, we scope the shoot, and we coordinate access directly with your property manager, your smart lock, or your keypad. You review proofs online, pick what you want, and download finished files from a link. The whole thing runs remotely from booking to delivery — the same way you already run the house.

For property management companies, the math is even simpler. You're marketing dozens or hundreds of homes across the island, and wrangling photographers who may or may not make the drive is its own job. We'd rather be the one vendor who covers the whole coast — consistent style across your portfolio, one point of contact, and a certificate of insurance available on request for your vendor files. Every house from the Plantation to the East End gets the same pilot and the same standard.

Travel Is Already in the Quote

Every quote we send includes travel — no mileage line, no fuel surcharge, no zone map. We're based in Grand Ridge, about 90 minutes north of Apalachicola, and the drive south through the pine flats to the water is not exactly a hardship. We treat the whole Panhandle coast as home territory, so a shoot on St. George Island costs what the shoot costs, the same as it would if we lived on the island.

The Forgotten Coast is one stretch of a coastline we cover end to end. Next door, we serve Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas — if your place is on Indian Pass or the Cape, that page is yours — and the rest of the coast lives on our coastal media services hub. Wherever your property sits between the forgotten part and the busy part, the quote works the same way: one number, travel included.

FPV Fly-Through Tours

One continuous flight from the dunes to the top-floor deck. An FPV fly-through shows guests how a stilt house actually flows — the tour that photos can't give and competing listings don't have.

Yes — all of it, plus Eastpoint and Alligator Point. Travel is always built into the quote, so the number we send is the whole number, whether the property sits on the island, in Apalachicola's historic district, or out at the end of the peninsula. We're about 90 minutes north and this coast is part of our regular route.

Yes — the workflow is built for exactly that. You book by phone or email, we sort out access with whoever holds the keys — your manager, a lockbox, or the door code — then you review proofs and download finished files online. If you live three states away, the whole job runs without you leaving home.

Yes — property managers are half the reason the remote workflow exists. You get a consistent look across your whole program, one person to call for every house on the island, and we'll send a certificate of insurance for your vendor files before the first shoot ever happens.

Owners usually call us after something changes — a remodel, a new bunk room, fresh paint, or a listing that's underperforming its neighbors — or simply ahead of booking season. You tell us what's new, we reshoot what needs reshooting, and your listing goes into spring with photos that match the house guests will actually walk into.

Yes. Indoor spaces aren't part of the National Airspace System, so a fly-through inside a rental needs no airspace authorization. We fly a palm-sized drone with prop guards, slow and deliberate around furniture and finishes, always with the owner's or manager's sign-off — and every outdoor portion is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified pilot.

It depends on the house and the deliverables — bedrooms and square footage, photos alone or photos plus video, and whether you add an FPV fly-through. Tell us the address and what you're after, and we'll send back one number with travel already inside it. A price list can't size up your specific house honestly, so we quote each one on its own.
